Rainy day

It's a gray, cloudy day and pouring rain so it seems like a good time to catch up on some visiting. Jeannie alluded to something in a previous post but it's never been said. We bought a lake cabin on Lake Madison. It's a cottage in the best sense of the word, not even being yeararound, only for summer use. And so we two, being never content to leave anything alone and just use it, have been painting, remodeling and basically working ourselves senseless to make a sil purse out of a sows ear. Ain't gonna work but at least it should be habitable. It's been an adventure. Yesterday I just about blew a hole in my head the size of a .50 caliber bullet trying to prime the well pump so we have water. Got the well to work only to discover the plumbing is broken. Later.
